Hey everyone, I got my belly button pierced May of 2010, and it healed quite nicely. But I got a crappy ring to put through it and around August 2010 it formed a hard ball inside and was too painful to keep, so after trying antibiotics my doctor told me to just take it out. Well, the ball has gotten smaller, and it's healed over, but it's still kind of there. I talked to another doctor and they said that it was probably just a keloid. The only problem is it's INSIDE my skin, so rubbing something on it isn't an option. Do you think I would be able to pierce back through it? Or should I talk to a plastic surgeon about removing it? I've got both my hips pierced and they're doing fine. But I was wondering how long they last and if they get taken out if they scar or no?

Question. What do you call this type of tattoo where it(at first glance) seems tribal, but upon further observation is a message on the skin?? For example, there's a lot of tribal art but the bare skin reads someone's name......
