RE: What are you reading? page 9This is a discussion thread · 84 replies Anonymous: I love Jennifer Weiner and have read almost every novel she's written ('In Her Shoes' was one of my favorites). I am reading 'The Last Promise' by Richard Evans. It's a romance that takes place in Italy, but very well written, not trashy.Susan http://susansspa.blogspot.com /

Foxglove: [nq:1]I recently finished Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian , which I loved. It was everything I wanted The DaVinci Code (which I thought was just dreadful) to be.[/nq]I'm pleased to read that someone else loved this book as much as I did. I felt it to be one of the few recent books that deserves to be beautifully bound in leather and read on a cold day in front of a roaring fire. I am currently rereading Gone With the Wind.

ahmward: [nq:1]I recently finished Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian , which I loved. It was everything I wanted The DaVinci ... ahahahaha. I'm also reading/editing the final draft of my friend's book, but I wouldn't necessarily call that pleasure reading. ;-)[/nq]The Historian is lined up on the book shelf with too many others I want to read. I don't find time for books during November and December and I miss them. I'm in two book clubs so my most immediate selections are The Last Girls by Lee Smith and Queen of the South by Arturo Revez-Reverte.
