Hi, Although knink is online, and regular user profiles are up and running, what we're currently developing is a whole set of new sections designed specifically for those working within the body art industry.

The difference between the professional profiles and the regular user profiles will be in the functionality. For instance, a tattoo studio needs to be searchable by global location as well as specialities, and even whether apprenticeships are offered, as well as other information, such a multiple image galleries within the profile to show different artists' work, or different styles of work by the same resident artists. Here are some of the professional profile sections we're developing:

These profile types can be combined, as in the case of tattoo + piercing studios, or alt models + body jewellery designers etc. Each of the industry sections will have features tailored to the needs of the work involved - from casting call systems, to shopping carts, to anything else you might need - your feedback's really useful to us, so we can know what you want and need from your profile, that's why we included a survey so that if you have any other suggestions, you can let us know, and we'll do our best to make it happen.

These developments are taking time, as the system is being built from scratch to make it as useful as possible to the worldwide body art industry. We're designing it to be as user-friendly as possible so nobody ends up with a splitting headache, and everyone can get on with the business of meeting people, making contacts, finding collaborators and customers, and generally enjoying spreading their word.
