Piercing thorough a keloid- belly buttonThis is a discussion thread · 0 replies Anonymous: Hey everyone, I got my belly button pierced May of 2010, and it healed quite nicely. But I got a crappy ring to put through it and around August 2010 it formed a hard ball inside and was too painful to keep, so after trying antibiotics my doctor told me to just take it out. Well, the ball has gotten smaller, and it's healed over, but it's still kind of there. I talked to another doctor and they said that it was probably just a keloid. The only problem is it's INSIDE my skin, so rubbing something on it isn't an option. Do you think I would be able to pierce back through it? Or should I talk to a plastic surgeon about removing it?
