It's too easy to call someone a name if you disagree with them. It reminds me kindasorta of a quote from Spike Lee's film, Malcolm X: "Man swears because he doesn't have the words to say what's on his mind." Likewise, people don't have the words to say why they disagree with someone and too often rely on simply calling them troll. That's no criticism of you using the term, but I do like reading. I mean, even the writing of people who I might consider jerks. Hell, sometimes the jerks are especially interesting and fun to read.
