I've had my tongue pierced 12 years ago (14 gauge). I'm not so in love with it now and I took it out two days ago. Tonight I tried putting it back in and it made my tongue sore. Now my question...How long until the hole completely closes? Will it ever completely close? I ask because I had my ears stretched to a 2 gauge for about two years. I took took them out six years ago and they never have returned to a 'normal' size.

hi everyone, i got my nose pierced back in may. it looked pretty good for the first few weeks and then put of nowhere i developed some kind of bump around the percing. the bump goes from the inside to the top of the piercing. its so big that i cant even take the stud out. its still the same one i got when he pierced it for me. im starting to get worried because it hasnt gotten smaller. ive read that you can use tea tree oil on them and they will go away. does that really work? also if there is anything else that might work better please share. i would atleast like to change the stud at last. thanks you anything will help at this point. im desperate

Here's a video i found showing how to deal with piercing infections and how to treat them. You should always consult your piercist about how to best care for your piercing so that it doesn't become infected after application. Some piercings are more likely to get infected than others due to the piercing location and the style of the piercing itself ... A video about allergic reaction to body piercing jewellery. This tutorial shows what to do if you think you might have an allergic rection. Again - always talk to your piercer before you get your piercing about what jewellery you want to use and whether it's appropriate for your piercing, as certain types of piercings go well with certain types of jewellery due to location, and the way they heal individually. The way people react to piercing jewellery will also vary from person to person as we're all made differently, so look out for signs of allergic reactions during healing.
