Mine was on my hip, but I've heard people talk about spines, feet and hands being the worst places - there's a lot of pictures on this site of people with their entire rib section inked, and I'm think ooouuccchhh! but I'd love to get something done further up my ribs - my question is, how much does it really hurt, is it worse than other places?
I have a tat on my finger and I can't even put into words how painful that was (besides my whole finger swelling up)... the one on my upper spine was ok but I think the feet would hurt more. Good question, I'd like to know about some experiences on that too...
Neck. No doubt so far, but the I've heard that hands and the top of the foot are pretty harsh.
I think my stomach actually hurt the most, and i've heard loads of friends say their stomachs didn't hurt at all Emotion: sad my friend got his neck done and he said that was pretty bad too, but i think the spine would be the worst - like in this pic

The most painful tattoo is the one you don't really want. Its amazing to see when a tat is coming out exactly the way you wanted the pain becomes secondary, for me anyways.
I would have to say that I've got a tat on my head andon both my sides and the sides were much worse. especially with lots of detail.
i have the top of my foot tattood and it was by far the worst tattoo i have got, as in all up pain, just such a sensative area to get done, but then i had my a upper back piece started and on the shoulder is by far the worst pain i have ever felt! i had to stop after 3 hrs of outline and shading and i go back for the color as i was really struglling LoL it was my 4th tatt 2 so not like i didnt know what to expect...
lol that should say 2 hrs of loutline and shading.
I would say my hand, neck & elbow have been the most painful.
i agree
