1) Any kind of hypenation-American that comes around to s.c.n telling people how he or she wants to stay in touch with the culture of his ancestors by doing something not particularily authentic to the culture of either present day Nordics or the people who emigrated to America, whether it be Asatru, wearing Hollywood style horned viking helmets or getting tattoos of runes or similar stuff, is highly likely to get advice he or she might not have appreaciate from regulars in soc.culture.nordic.

2) Having said that, I would have been surprised if an American with black skin would have started to bellyache about how hard it is for pale skinned Americans to express pride in being white (and what need he had to feel like a member of a white group), so he would likely have been spared some of the comments above.

Quite true. They'd have been bellyaching about how hard it is for dark skinned Americans to express pride in being Black. Er... you're right - they wouldn't.

Hey, this is getting out off hand and are really off topic by now. Have you decided on a tattoo yet? I have always liked the old Norse animal ornaments. They are often rather complicated so you got the know a really good tattoo artist.

LOL...fair enough.
But, I'm better looking that you. ;-)

So let's talk about your superiority. What do you value and what measurements are you using? Are you making various assumptions about what everyone ought to value that would allow for an agreement on what is superior and what is not? Can superiority be recognized as self evident? Can it be measured objectively?
