Japanese Tattoo art

I love ancient japanese art, i think it's incredible, different, detailed, and with all of the asian culture, i love what it represents
I especially love the japanese warriors.. so of course, i'm looking into getting a tattoo.. but not just any tattoo.. a thigh sleeve, i'm thinking just like a half thigh sleeve, not quite all the way
anyways, so i'm having a hard time finding artists in north america that do the japanese style really well and in black and white.
any suggestions?
cheers!
Sorry Suzzz, I've heard of Horitomo-Kazuaki Kitamura but looks like he only draws dragons. Pretty cool, but not exactly what you're looking for.

For the record, I didn't check his portfolio, I'm just speaking for what I've seen...
hey! well thanks anyways, it's a name to start from.. with google these days, you can just start one place and end up somewhere completely different, so i'll still have a look into it! Any suggestion helps, thanks!
cheers
wow! i am very interested in that too. that's why i am taking up lessons for japanese tattoos. it's very cool!

Yeah, the japanese culture is something really amazing. I personally like samurais and all that stuff.

The only japanese tatto art that I know is the koi fish tatto Emotion: big smile

I totally agree with you! Maybe the best tat style is the Japanese...
Try researching over the net or in the local studios.
Good luck.
