I just uploaded a photo of my knuckle tattoo. The day I got them done they were perfect. Went to bed and next morning my left pinky looked like this. This was done April 3rd of this year so what I want to know is can this be fixed? My artist said he has never seen anything like this before, but he says it's not blow out. When I got these done there was no blood nor leaking of fluids. please help. This is bothering me ALOT

my tattoo is 2 pink hearts next to each other, they are about an inch big each and light pink. i was wondering if it is possible to have one of them turned purple, can an artist tattoo purple over the pink ink? they are about a year old. thanks.

I have a tattoo on my inner right bicep that has some areas where the color has lost its luster. The piece is less than 6 months old. On one end of the tattoo the shading is dull and the lines are barely distinguishable. I love the actual artwork of the tattoo but the color is way too flat and it needs to be cleaned up . I used the same aftercare methods with this tattoo as I did my other two; this piece is the only one that I have this issue with. I feel like perhaps the artist didn't use a quality ink or did not go deep enough into my skin, I just don't know. Thoughts, suggestions, advice would be much appreciated.

I am no stranger to tattoos, and now, on tattoo number 10, I am having massive issues. I've done my usual aftercare: wash it a few times a day, cover with a thin layer of aquaphor for the first few days, once a good thin scab forms, I just use Lubriderm non-scented lotion. I usually heal up completely in 10-12 days and I'm only sore for the first day or two. Well this? Not so much. Within 2 days, I had an awful, thick scab that has formed and yesterday a chunk of skin, ink and all, just fell off when I was VERY GENTLY putting lotion on. It hurts horribly, so much so that I felt ill the first couple of days. The artist was anxious to get the work done (I'm moving soon), so she pushed me to do 6 hours. I normally don't go more than 3-4 because I have tendency to swell really bad. She also used some sort of numbing spray (never used it) frequently once I was starting to wince (about 3 and a half hours in). There are some places that look like there might be puss, but it could be bleed over from some yellow and or green ink that was used. I'm mortified, and balled my eyes out when that chunk of skin fell off yesterday. Was it a bad reaction to the spray? Do you think she over worked the skin? She's pretty light handed, so I don't think she went to deep. I got the work done Tuesday, it's now Sunday, and I'm still too sore to do almost anything! I've been popping ibuprofen like crazy, but it took about 3 days to get the swelling under control. What do I do??

i know this isn't going to make me very popular here, but isn't this all just a fad? all i can see on tv is tattoo this and tattoo-me, and this ink and that ink and it just goes on and on and now there's a whole generation covered in ink - and loads of it looks horrible - just because kat von whoever told everyone it was a good idea. what' everyone doing!!!!!!!!! this is a fad!!!! what's next? it'll change, and then what?? you're all covered in ink and looking stupid. why's everyone doing something which is so permanent. does anyone actually have a good reason to get a tattoo?

I used a dark brown, red hair dye that says it will wash our after 28 washes. I am waiting a month so most of it can wash out, and then going to a pro. My question is, can I use an all over toner to get it back to ash blonde? Will this damage my hair? We talked about doing highlights and then a toner. I am not a huge fan of highlights, so this is why I wanted to know about a toner all over. I just want to go with the one that will be less damage to my hair.

I will be getting the top of my foot done tomorrow and i gotta say im neverous of the pain.I have other tattos,My back,lower back,forarms,and leg and those really didnt bother me to much..but the foot i heard is VERY VERY painful.I wanted to know anyone experinces and if it was painful for you Also i heard that the ink tends to lighten up and you have to get retouched up in a few months has this happened to anyone before?

Has anyone had success using hydroquinone to fade away their tattoos? I got my first tattoo, and the artsist did completely what he wanted, and i ended up hating it. I bought a fade cream from walmart and have been putting it on nightly. It looks as if my tattoo is fading, the colors arent vibrant, and it looks like its lightening up. Am i just thinking its working, or is it?

Has anyone got any experience with tattoo removal? What method works best, did it cost a lot, and did it leave any scarring ? Has anyone had a tattoo removed by laser or dermabrasion or cryosurgery and then covered the area with a new tatto? There's a lot of articles around, but I'd like to hear peoples' experience so i know what each method's actually like.
