Dreadlock advice...This is a discussion thread · 21 replies Flo: Hi Everybody I've had dreadlocks for around 3 years now, or is it 4? Anyway to be honest they are going from bad to worse. They need washed, waxed and all the rest but buying special dread wax and soap etc. cost a fortune. I was wondering if any fellow dread wearers had any cheap tips? I heard that things like advacado and tree sap are good. Anyone heard of this? Sunlight: [nq:1]I was wondering if any fellow dread wearers had any cheap tips? Then, maybe if you bury your head for a few hundred thousand years, they'll turn into amber. i'll teach you to turn away.: F> I was wondering if any fellow dread wearers had any cheap tips? Anyone heard of F> this?i wore awesome dreads for five years. putting any sort of crap on them is against advice. you'll just draw bugs & you will stink & you will perpetuate the stereotype that dreads are filthy. try shampoo. seriously. harsh shampoos. if you can't make nice dreads out of clean hair, you're not meant to wear them. lish "you're worth your weight (Email Removed) in truth." -cr 39.3% / 30 RANA 125 / 68 Suzy Smith: [nq:1] F> I was wondering if any fellow dread wearers had any cheap tips? My hair tries to dread while I sleep. Not that I would have them, too much of a commitment to one hairstyle. -- Suzy Smith Landslide: http://mutteringfool.com FBG: http://fatbottomedgirls.net You don't like the sound of the truth, coming from my mouth... I'm getting a little bored of it long, I've grown it from shaven short down to my arse, some 8 years or so. Any advice on dreading? aftercare etc? My hair is particularly soft and in very good condition, whether that's good or not I don't know. /me off to find rec.haircare.dreads or similar. -- Dnc i'll teach you to turn away.: [nq:1]i wore awesome dreads for five years.D> Any advice on dreading? aftercare etc?
