I just stretched to 1" from 7/8ths and my ears are swollen and painful. (Not too bad, just an annoying pinch type feeling) Should I keep them in or should I take them out? I wanna put an ice pack on them.. will that reduce swelling? Thanks!

Let me start off by explaining to you who I am. For starters, I am an impatient teenage girl, who wanted nothing more, but some pretty, new, shiny plugs. Which I purchased, then immediately, shoved in my ear. You see, last year I had stretched my ears to a modest 0, then let them close for the summer. Then, being my ADHD affected self, re-stretched them, within a week. With no problems. So, last Sunday, I took things a little too far, and stretched from 5/16ths to 9/16ths, in one jump, with double flared silicone plugs. Mind you, today, as I'm writing this, it is a Wednesday night, and my ears are horrid. Yes, I know it was dumb. Yes, I know of the error of my ways. However, my ears, at their current state, are swollen like birthday balloons, and I have been in constant pain for four days straight, and I swear I'm going mad. Iv'e lost sleep over this, and that is the last straw, I said to myself. Iv'e read article after article on people lecturing, but see, I need answers. How on earth do I get them to stop hurting? Yes, I have been popping pills consecutively, and I believe I may have to have my stomach pumped after this blot of misfortune. How do I keep them from becoming infected? No, I do not have an extensive assortment of antibacterial cremes, and lotions, nor do I have the drive or money to buy any. How do I help mend the tears, and rips? How do I stop the bleeding, and pus? You see, I am no expert, obviously. I need help. Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart. Rachell.

I've got both my hips pierced and they're doing fine. But I was wondering how long they last and if they get taken out if they scar or no?

La Negra is a poster girl for modified ladies. She has horns, tattoos, scarification, branding, a split tongue - and is sexy as hell. Please, please explain me somebody how this could be considered as attractive and sexy. Where the borderline between beauty and ugliness??

Good evening, is there anybody here knowing a studio / surgeon in Europe (I live in Germany, but body modification is not too common here, so I would be willing to travel to neighbor countries, like UK, Swizerland, Austria, France, Netherlands etc) who is a) able and b) willing to make an ear modification (aka 'elf ears')? Any hints would be appreciated, but I would be most* thankful for advices from people who already had experiences with the studio / surgeon in question *and* can recommend him / her. Of course, I am also interested if you would *not* recommend someone, if something has gone wrong there before, for example. Ears are so delicate and I would definitely not want to look as if I had two broccolis on the sides of my head for the rest of my life *lol I know already that Steve Haworth seems to be specialized in this kind of body modification, and his work on Kazen's ear as presented on [link] impressed me very much - however, to fly to the US for the ear modification seems to be a bit too far for me. Thanks in advance if you have any hints, SP

I would like to know about using such cruel methods like branding, piercing, scarification, as a punishment in process of children discipline in past ages (Victorian England perhaps). I've heard of a clitoris burning as a punishment for female masturbation, what else do you know? Only true stories please, no fiction. Thanks.

I stretched my nipples again today. 6g and 8g, respectively. I need some bigger jewelry soon. Once again, no taper, just lube and a bath. I have stretchy boobie skin. My 6g verticle appears now to be slightly off-center. Should I be worried? I did not experience any real pain with the stretch, I don't think I tore it or any such thing. Does being slightly off-center come with the territory with large stretches? The original 12 guage piercing was dead center. fr0glet -- "You cannot be an objective scientist if you have an agenda." ~The Madman

toothbrush scrubs, peanut oil with plastic wrap cover, lava soap...among many. i'm getting ready to have mine re-done due to poor scarring. my cousin went the toothbrush method on his back, while a friend went the plastic wrap method on his chest. both resulted in beautiful raised scars, unlike mine. i'm wondering if the method isn't as much of a factor as the way your body heals/scars? -- to reply, kill the spam [link] [link]

I am not really into branding, but found this new technique out by accident. Take my word this works very well on skin just as a red hot iron does - but in a very different way. They are two new Wart removers out on market, I will not give their names for my protection. However, they work by using Butane to freeze the warts. So, using these new products to freeze normal skin will cause damage similar to a frost burn and is not as painful as a hot branding iron. Skin damage and healing times are about the same with person having to take special care to prevent skin infections with proper care and medications. But gosh, some serious scars can be left when used on normal (non-wart) skin. Of course, this also does a normal wart in as well with usually one application. For long lines (of branding-freezing) I highly suggest using dots that are spaced apart and allowed to heal and then later completing dots. For these sores can get very painful and may become infected as well. (Please note that neither I, my work, my server, nor the manufacturers of these products suggest wrongful use of these unnamed products as suggested). wl

Does anyone here have both a cutting and a branding? If so... I want a pain comparison, please. I'm considering getting a cutting from The Fog... but I am fairly chicken about the potential pain factor (especially because I'll probably pick some design that requires flesh removal). I'd get like 200 more electrocautery brandings, 'cause its only excruciating for a few minutes. I know what I have in store for healing a cutting (whimpers) but I can handle that again. I just want to know if a cutting is notably more excruciating then a branding. I think there is some pain line that I don't want to cross. fr0glet

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of a procedure to reduce ones feet. Anyone know anyone that does it, or anyone here done something similar? Thanks

It's now been 13 months or so since I had cellulitis in my legs. The infection was pretty widespread and long lasting. I scarred pretty damn badly over most of the affected area. It is not skin surface scarring but slightly below (I can not think of the word for the layer it's in right now, I'm tired.) I've done everything I can to induce healing: massage, lotions, mederma (waste of money on all scars, I tried it on two scars on my stomach, a patch on my leg, and on the horrendous tattoo, nada.) I've followed doctor's directions with keeping my legs propped up and the swelling down as much as possible. I have/had major tattoo work planned for my legs. It's not happening anytime soon, obviously. Any advice on helping the scarring settle? Damnit, I'm tired of my legs looking like that and feeling like leather. -- Suzy Smith Landslide: [link] FBG: [link] You don't like the sound of the truth, coming from my mouth...
